Q. Is there a fee to join your agency?
A. No, we do not charge any joining fees.
Q. How does the agency earn money?
A. We earn money by taking a percentage of each job we secure for our models.
Q. Can my child sign with other agencies?
A. We are a sole representation agency, which means models can only be signed with Willow and Wisp. However, we do allow children to work with a separate Talent-only agency. This will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Q. Does my child need a portfolio?
A. No, we do not require a portfolio to join. We ask parents to take high-quality photos of their child against a plain background, following our photo guidelines.
Q. Do you accept everyone that applies?
A. No, we are very selective and only accept a small percentage of applicants.
Q. Will my child need to miss school?
A. Yes, shoots may take place during school hours. If your child secures work, Willow and Wisp will contact the school to request a signed authorisation for absence letter, which is required for a child performance license application. We will then submit this to the local authority.
Q. What is a child performance license?
A. Children under the age of 16 need a child performance license to work. This licensing ensures that there are arrangements in place to safeguard children when they take part in certain types of performances or paid modeling.
Q. Will my child be guaranteed work?
A. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee work. However, we keep our books small to give each child a fair chance of securing opportunities.
Q. When will my child be paid after a job?
A. Payment is made within 90 days of completing a job.
Q. Does it matter where in the UK we live?
A. No, as long as you're willing to travel. While most jobs and castings take place in London, they can be anywhere in the UK.
Q. Are travel expenses covered?
A. Travel expenses are not always covered, but this depends on the specific job and client. We will inform you of any travel related reimbursements in advance if applicable
Q. Can my child still join if they no prior modeling experience?
A. Yes, absolutely! We welcome children with no prior modeling experience. Our focus is on personality, confidence and the potential to shine infront of the camera. We provide guidance and support throughout their journey.
